Commentary  

We were expecting around twenty for this event, and the chance to chat to competitors before and after their runs. Somewhat surprised was I then to come over the brow of the hill and see a veritable horde awaiting my attentions. It was to say the least somewhat frantic getting everyone entered and set off, thank you all for your forebearance.  

I think most of you enjoyed your runs, well on the short courses anyway. Rather a lot of retirements on the Challenge course, though at least partly due to receiving a damned good soaking part way round. I thought I had been fairly kind in making the map memory controls fairly close together and not too technical. Perhaps not?  

Thanks to those who gave help in assisting newcomers and collecting controls. And to Andy for coping with the rush at the start while I put out the remainder of the controls.
