I'd like to say a big 'thank you' to everyone who volunteered to help on the day; I didn't need to make many phone calls, which made life a lot easier. I'd the first time I've organised a regional Event, but it's really not that much different from a Colour Coded. The main issue for me was the remoteness of the site, for instance the nearest drinking water available to us was a mile away! I didn't think about this issue until prompted by Paul Wright 10 days before the event! Thanks also to Paul (DVO's Equipment Officer) for helping me signpost the event and set up the field on Saturday, when the weather was not so good as the Sunday. Thanks to John, Mick, Mike Godfree and Steve Kimberley for helping with my many queries.

I would like to thank the farmer, Mr William Dickinson, for allowing us to park on his field, moving his cattle and putting a lot of grit on the track. The car park helpers collected £288 which Mr Dickinson is donating this to support a young boy from Little Eaton who has cerebral palsy and needs a new wheelchair.
