Thank you for attending this second Rural O based around Ambergate. Last year’s event to Crich proved tough. The slightly less steep terrain around Nether Heage and Lower Hartshay probably was just as challenging. Interestingly several competitors heading from the start to control 102 took eastern route up the steep Crich Lane rather than the western route down Ridgeway Lane and across the fields. This second route involved about 25m less climb.
