The DVO Club Championships will be at NOC’s Strawberry Hill & Ransom Wood EML event on Sunday 21 December
As well as the five trophies for good runs, Club awards for improvement and contribution will be presented directly following the event. Piggy-backing the Club Champs onto another club’s event means that event officials are no longer tied up with an event on home turf, so are eligible to run!
We have trophies for the fastest man and woman based on minutes per km (the Peter Bourne and Karen Jackson Trophies), but also for the man and women who finish first – so age is never a barrier to winning (Chris Yardley and Judy Buckley Trophies)! At Allestree Park last year, these were won by Chris Millard, Emily Bass, Rob Williams and Helen Chiswell. The Junior Trophy (incorporating Lithuanian amber, and some glue) was won by Imogen Satherley. Here are the 2024 trophy and award winners at the presentation in Allestree Evergreen Hall.

Course details are yet to be announced for our traditional Short, Medium and Junior competitions. Entries will open on The Start Kite around 22 November, and those in the DVO Champs will start according to their handicap, but after 11am. In the entry system, you need to select “DVO TBA start times“. A big “thank you” to NOC event officials for enabling this!
Could you be one of our 2025 winners?

Strawberry Hill & Ransom Wood is a former sand and gravel pit, making for tough running and tricky navigation. Routegadget here, and a small history of the area to come!
