Enjoyable Score runs, excellent weather, superb Repton School site and good company made this, DVO Members Only, a worthwhile occasion. Thanks to Paul Goodhead and Leanne Chandler for getting us permission to use the site.
I somewhat disappointed that more Cub Members weren’t able to join us, but the evening was enjoyed by the 25 who came. Several ran the Long Score and the Medium Score, warm work!
Winners were:
Long Plus (i.e. Long plus Medium times) Simon Brister.
Long – Sal Chaffey
Medium – Simon Brister
Short – Roger Keeling

Shall we make this an annual – must do?

P.S. The post-activity trip to the pub was another bonus!

Sprint training session at the NOC University of Nottingham event

The weather is getting better, more orienteering events available but the undergrowth is getting higher with every sunny day!

What can you do?

EMJOS (East Midlands Junior O Squad) has the answer …

Combine the NOC event at Highfields Park & University of Nottingham (East) with a bit of sprint training afterwards on this fantastic intricate area. It’s open to all.

Sunday 11th July start:10:30am

Sign up to run early at the NOC (Entry is online in advance – no entry on the day), then join the training session until 1pm.

The exercises will be short intricate loops to practice map setting, route planning and control description reading – all at speed.

Names to me (Ann-Marie ) ASAP so we can print enough maps. Contact me if you want more information.
