EM League Event

Level: C (Regional)

Organiser: David Vincent

Planner: Helen Chiswell

Controller: Iain Phillips (LEI)

Organisers Comments (David Vincent)
Organising is the best job – everyone thanks you for a great event, and loads of other people do the work.
As usual, our teams performed brilliantly, nicely organised in the run-up to the event, and quietly getting on with things on the day.
With an experienced planner in Helen Chiswell, who gave me no headaches at all in terms of extra jobs, and a very experienced controller in Iain Phillips, whose professionalism, good humour and efficiency are just what every event needs – very many thanks to you both.
Special thanks to:-
–  Sal Chaffey for lots of things, but especially doing the liaising with DCC and preparing and putting out pre-event notices in the park;
– Malcolm Spencer for his invaluable help, eagerly given, in sorting out the potential car parking issues. In practice, the low entries took away this issue, but it could have been a real problem. For future events, I’m sure that we will be making use of Main Avenue again – it eases pressure on the main car park and hence reduces complaints to DCC about our use of the park.
Finally, my apologies to DVO helpers who endured a poorly taped and longer route to the hall than necessary – sorry.
