Mapper’s Notes

1. The green cross denotes dead tree or rootstock, only the most prominent have been mapped.
2. Much of the open parkland is a former golf course, now a site for rewilding projects. Several bunkers has been designated as bee and wasp habitats with a small hedge planted along one side, these have been marked as OOB (olive green), other bunkers are small depressions. Fairways have been mown to create paths. These can be subject to change and, although they offer marginally faster running, should not be relied on absolutely for navigation.
3. In the woodland, rhododendrons have been removed and narrow hedges created with the branches. These activities are unfinished so only the uppermost (western) of these hedges has been mapped.
Map availability as of Tuesday 16th:
Brown (9); Blue (11); Green (19); Short Green (21); VSG (4); Light Green (9); Orange (11); Yellow (11); White (8)
