Derby Night MapRun series – Autumn 2023

Results

We have been so impressed with how quickly newcomers have got to grips with the app and coped with some tricky navigation. We have had a great turnout across the series so far with 100+ runners, many who are new to the sport. We have just passed 200 finishers!

Come and join us at any of the events – we have plenty of experienced members to get you started! Details here.

At our recent events we welcomed competitors from Chesapeake Road Runners, Explorer Scouts and a Men’s social for a 35 control score around Chaddesden, Allestree and Alvaston. Mass start video from our Allestree event here.

Results so far with scores, positions and tracks automatically recorded from smartphones available on MapRun:

Two of our events visited Darley Park and competitors had to grapple with a mix of Urban and Parkland terrain. Torches were certainly needed from the start. Click here to see one of the mass starts.

Other events have visited Mickleover and Derby North. Terrain has been varied and has involved navigating mazes of alleyways, quiet back streets and open parkland. All in the dark!
