Sign up now to our MapActive courses to learn new navigation skills and increase your enjoyment of events with a navigation element. See this page for full course details and benefits.

Each stage includes free entry to a local orienteering event, where you can try out your newly acquired skills. 

Course dates and times

Stage 1 May 2024

  • Saturdays 4th and 11th 1–3pm in Markeaton Park, Derby
  • Thursdays 9th and 16th 7–8pm Zoom follow-up
  • Sunday 19th 10–12 noon try a real orienteering event at Hardwick Park

Stage 2 June 2024

  • Saturdays 8th and 15th 1–3pm in Darley Park, Derby
  • Thursdays 13th and 20th 7–8pm Zoom follow-up
  • Saturday 22nd 1–3pm try a real orienteering event at Allestree Park

The course fees include entry to the two orienteering events, worth an adult rate of £15
