Our 2026 AGM

You are warmly invited to the club’s Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 28th October at 7.30pm, Church in the Peak, Matlock, DE4 3EJ.  We will have pizza and hot drinks.  Please let Nicky know if you’re coming so we can get in enough pizza – and also please tell us any dietary requirements.

The formal agenda is here, together with a short paper with the list of officers standing for election to the DVO committee.  The Treasurer’s and Secretary’s reports can be found with the Minutes of the DVO Committee Meeting on 22nd September 2026

We have important elections this time.  Jane has completed her three year term as Chair, so we will be electing a new DVO Chair, and a new Treasurer, as Helen has also served her three years plus one.  Your support by attending and voting will be very much welcomed.

I’m delighted to say John Duckworth is standing for election as Chair and Sarah Duckworth as Treasurer.  There remains one vacancy on the DVO committee.  We’re also looking for a club member to take on responsibility for safeguarding, as Anne Kayley-Burgess will be stepping down from the role at the AGM.  Please contact me or one of the other committee members if you might be interested in joining the committee and/or taking on the safeguarding role.

AGM 2026 Election of Officers and Committe Member AGM 2026 Agenda After the formal business, we will hear from John in conversation with Sal Chaffey, a Graham Norton style chat, and of course everyone can join in with their own questions.

We hope that many of you will come along and look forward to seeing everyone on 28th October.

Nicky Hart
Vice-Chair
