Want to improve your technique and meet new people? This weekend could be what you’re looking for!
Swansea Bay Orienteering Club, who ran a hugely successful training weekend at Merthyr Mawr last year, have just had an area of the Forest of Dean confirmed for this year – weekend of 21st/22nd November.
The format will be very similar to the Coaching Day held at Merthyr Mawr last year, except no run up the Big Dipper to finish off the day (thank goodness!). Instead SBOC will be holding a Cwid Games where participants get the opportunity to pick up prizes in a mini peg relay style activity.
NGOC will be holding a Night event on the Saturday at Symonds Yat, and a SWOA Regional event at Soudley on the Sunday. Once again a great opportunity for forest training, introducing night orienteering and putting it all into practice at an event.
Ann-Marie has details for taking the juniors but individuals can participate. Follow this link to sign up, or wait for more details, which I will send out when I get them.
