Forestry England asked to know volunteer hours for the event at Cromford Moor in November. These were 127 between the 4 event officials who do the bulk of the work, and 103 from club helpers on the day. Total 230.
For those wondering why there were 4 event officials, there were 2 controllers, as John D broke his ankle at the November Classic not having a landing plan when leaping across a ditch. I broke my wrist on Hampstead Heath* in full view of the Start, when my foot caught in a dry-weather fissure [what happened to that? Ed.] and my arm went out to break my fall. As John said however, “between us we have 6 good limbs”!
